CHARITY PIN BADGES

Robin for Little Lifts

In March 2017, the first in a series of 3 pin badge designs - a robin - was produced to raise awareness and funds for new (at the time) breast cancer charity Little Lifts. There have been 3 colour variations of the robin including gold, silver and pink-gold (a collaboration with Art for Cure in October 2018).

Little Lifts support people undergoing treatment for breast cancer by providing comfort boxes at the beginning of their chemotherapy or radiotherapy treatment, primarily in East Anglia. For more information, visit www.littlelifts.org.uk.

Bullfinch for Little Lifts

Following the positive response to the robin pins, the second in the series for Little Lifts was produced shortly afterwards to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October 2017.

Continuing with the pink-breasted bird theme, the bullfinch was chosen and there was a run of limited edition gold pins in addition to silver ones, which are still available today.

Blue Tit for Little Lifts

The final in the trilogy of pins for Little Lifts was released in October 2019 to celebrate notable achievements of the charity, such as extending their support to people with secondary breast cancer and serving five hospitals across Norfolk and Suffolk.

Pre-surgery, people (mostly women) with breast cancer are injected with iodine to locate the lymph nodes, resulting in them getting a blue ‘tit’. Therefore the blue tit was an obvious choice to mark and raise awareness of this experience.

Puffin (Rose Gold) for Little Lifts

In 2022, I was asked to produce a limited edition run of my puffin pin in rose gold to celebrate the memory of Little Lifts founder’s Grandma Jo (as the puffin was her favourite bird). This rose gold version is only available through Little Lifts and you can buy these now direct from their website here.

Yellow Canary for MAP

A yellow canary pin for charity MAP (Mancroft Advice Project), who support young people (11-25 years) across Norfolk with advice, counselling and youth work services.

The canary is a symbol of home and belonging, representing aspects of youth culture and the region. Production costs of this pin were generously covered by Dogfish and all profits made from sales goes directly to MAP.
